Impact: Starting twice a month in March (with adherence to Covid guidelines)
Located in the south end of Albany, Rebuilding the City (RTC) was founded by New Hope Ministries. RTC exists to give individuals the opportunity to transform their lives spiritually and practically. Our goal is to equip people for a productive and successful life and help them give back within the community.
Rebuilding the City provides the following programs:
- Hope for Women - a residential program for women transitioning through difficult life situations.
- Gateway - an apprenticeship training program for individuals seeking to learn a trade.
- Meals for Kids/Teens - a feeding and training program for youth ages 4-19.
- IMPACT - academic tutoring, STEM projects, and community service opportunities for grades 6-8.
All of our programs emphasize instilling life skills. Whether learning trades in the Gateway program or transitioning through the Hope for Women program, participants are given individual help in the areas of life skills sets. This involves one-on-one mentoring, support from staff who live with the participants, share their burdens, and help them progress through the changes in their lives helping them achieve personal success and independence.
